Invitation of the week... Henriette

Since Valentine's Day has just passed, and there are now many newly engaged couples planning their weddings, I thought it would be the perfect time to showcase one of my invitations that would be perfect for anyone announcing their engagement!

Named "Henriette" after my grandmother, the design of this information reminds me of the vibrant flowers that adorned my grandmother's garden.  It was worth the trip to Vermont to see all of the beauty.

As with all of my invitations, there are options for colors, coordinating notes cards, place cards table numbers and more.  And, always check out the back of the invitation for a real wow!

You can check out all of my line on FineStationery.com by going to my website www.ShawnRabideauStationery.com.  Also, stay tuned as we get ready to launch in a stationery store near you.

Cheers!

How to be the perfect wedding guest

It always amazes me when I see guests at my clients' weddings behaving improperly.  I always view it as a privilege when I am invited to a wedding.  I know from experience how difficult it is to develop a guest list, and I truly appreciate "making the cut".  That is why I had to share this really well done article by Kathleen Trenske in the Huffington Post about how to be a great wedding guest.  The author really hit the mark on this one.

It's not too soon to make reservations for Valentine's Day!

While I like to spend Valentine's Day at home with my partner, I know many of you love to go out and have a romantic dinner with your special someone.  While Valentine's Day may be over a month away, if you want to spend the evening at the perfect restaurant it is not too soon to make plans as many people are planning ahead.

If you are in the New York area and looking for the perfect romantic spot for your Valentine's Day celebration I have a recommendation for a restaurant I recently tried, and loved!

Erminia is a very quaint, cozy spot on the Upper East Side that is perfect for any couple looking to enjoy a romantic evening.  I have to tell you that I am a true West Sider so it takes a lot to get me to travel to this part of the city.  However, in the case of Erminia, I am so glad I traveled out of my comfort zone. The service is impeccable and the food is out of this world.  It is absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants in the city!

I have to give my hats off to Pasquale Martinelli for arranging this amazing meal and again encourage anyone living in New York, or paying a visit to make a reservation at Erminia.  It is a definite "Rabido".

Wishing you all a great 2013 and ....

Cheers!

It's Holiday Cocktail Time!!!

I have been getting a lot of requests to post cocktail recipes from recent television appearances.  Here are 3 great recipes that were recently featured on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live.  Enjoy

Snowflake Martini

2 parts Vodka
1 part White Creme de Menthe
1 part White Cranberry Juice

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with cracked ice.  Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass that has been rimmed with white sugar.  Garnish with an apple slice that has been cut into the shape of a snowflake using a standard cookie cutter.

Hot Choc-tail

8 ounces of hot chocolate ( I use Godiva )
1 1/2 ounces of Vanilla Vodka
1 1/2 ounces of Frangelico
Dash Cayenne Pepper
Whipped Cream

Heat the hot chocolate on the stove in a small pot.  Add Vanilla Vodka, Frangelico and Cayenne Pepper.  Heat slowly and do not boil!  When heated to the desired temperature serve in mugs and top with whipped cream.

Eggnog Martini

2 parts eggnog
1 part Vanilla Vodka
1/2 part Amaretto

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with cracked ice.  Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass that has been lightly rimmed with a combination of nutmeg and cinnamon. Sprinkle a dash of nutmeg on top and serve.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

Happy Holidays and .....

Cheers!
